The most iconic and beautiful place in all of Central Park is surprisingly a man-made one. The first time that I saw this location, I was on my way to meet the client that would end up commissioning me to paint it. Before I knew this, I was thinking that I definitely needed to come back and paint it.
The Bethesda Terrace with its ornate wall fences, intricate decorative embellishments, and grand water fountain of cherubs holding up a platform for an angel to stand on, is vintage New York City at its absolute best. If you haven't been there, the next time that you are in the area, this is a must-visit. Expect a lot more people than you see in my painting though! It's no surprise that New Yorkers and tourists alike can't get enough of it.
