In Blue 2 (study)

A dimly lit Rubenesque female figure holding her clothes. I painted this figure using only two colors. I first put down a layer of the dark blue. Then I worked wet into wet and controlled how much I added the lights by how hard I pressed down on the brush with the light color. I increased the contrast of what I actually saw on the model to give the mood you see in the painting.
