If you want to learn how to draw a realistic human face, and you’re ready to put in the effort to understand the steps to do it, I will show you the specific tools and techniques that I use to do just that. Even if you are a total beginner.

After this workshop, you will understand:
-What is contour drawing?
-Plotting points
-What is “blocking in”?
-Negative space (and I don’t mean like the one you stand in while you’re waiting on line at the DMV)
-A powerful chart to show you where facial features should be in relation to one another
-When should you add in details and shading
-When to use each of the different pencils in a kit to shade your drawing
-How to hold your pencil when shading
-Why erasers aren’t just for fixing mistakes
-A time saving shortcut to help you to avoid having to go back over things that you thought were finished

Emphasis will be placed on achieving more accurate technical skills faster, to learn how to make your drawing look more like the reference image. Each student will receive individual direction on their drawing to hear what’s working, what needs some adjustment, and to hear my favorite random movie quotes.

We will start at 1:00pm U.S. Eastern Standard Time, and the class will end at approximately 4:30pm.

Sign up now to join me and a great group of people, and learn the tricks that you can use to make a few marks on a piece of paper look back at you and take on a life of their own.
